I’ve been using iView / Expression Media and Bridge to manage my picture archive and writing projects for the last 6 years, and work with leading pros to improve their digital asset management and photographic workflow:
- personalized training
- scripting and automation
- web templates
- integration with Photoshop, Lightroom, Aperture
- data migration
- moving your metadata to Lightroom
- getting metadata into Expression Media
- client testimony
- XLtransformer generic tool (pdf)
about these scripts
I hope the free scripts here are useful. But please note:
- free scripts are unsupported (here’s my Amazon wish list)
- use them at your own risk – test them on test files in test catalogues
- iView scripts here and Bridge scripts here
- custom scripts can do quick for me to write but can save you lots of time. They can be on an Amazon basis.
Adapting for Expression Media
To make iView scripts work in xMedia, you will need to edit the iView scripts in Notepad or TextEdit. Look for the CreateObject line and replace the word “iView” with “ExpressionMedia”.
