I've been trying to get some EXIF data out of the Nikon raw files, the “Makernote” to be specific. Nikon themselves have been extremely unhelpful - their best suggestion being that I should apply in writing for an SDK. Ideally I want to write some VB that will interrogate around 5000 NEF files and update the Portfolio records.

As part of my research, I came across Fabrizio Giudici's site where he attempts to document the file format. I've still no idea how I can extract the data, but enjoyed looking at his pictures.
