I use Lightroom with SlideShowPro’s Director for a smooth and efficient way of managing this site’s picture galleries. Using Lightroom’s Export, I simply upload JPEGs, and Director then supplies them to the HTML and Flash pages. The web server does the heavy-lifting of resizing and watermarking.

Why am I using a modified plug-in?
- My version of the plug-in has an extra panel in Metadata containing custom fields that get updated during the export process.
- Extra metadata options to the Export dialog – extra tags. So now for example I add the tag “Private” to client images that I don’t want to appear in my New Photos smart album. These pictures would be shown by my SSPD API-powered client contact sheets which record selections in the mySQL database.
- A dialog box inside LR gets a customer’s picks from the database and adds the images to a Lightroom collection, closing the order processing loop.
