Ragnar Axelsson is an Icelandic photographer who doesn't appear to venture far south. I saw his great series on the Faroe Islands in Black & White Photography magazine last month, and other series include Iceland, Greenland and Siberia. His site's a bit primitive with lots of browser windows and untitled documents, but I could have chosen many photos for this post.
