Some great examples of graphic design from Sainsburys.

I particularly like this “all fish” cat food. Lucky kitties – it must be Bass.

Lovely to see this. I designed it! I guess it was 1975-76 and I worked in the JS in-house design studio. I still have a faded set at home.

Hmm… my problem is that I can remember even the oldest of these designs John. I agree that some (most?) stand up well even today.

  I suppose that good design should be timeless. Nowadays I think Sainsburys have lost their arty pretensions of yesteryear.
